My claim was denied

Can AI write my insurance appeal?

Short answer

Yes, it can write a first draft, often for free. But AI can get facts wrong and leave out the one page that matters. Use it as a starting point, not the final letter.

What to do

  1. Find the denial reason and the deadline on your letter.
  2. Upload the letter to a free tool, like Counterforce Health or Fight Health Insurance.
  3. Check every fact, date and code against your own papers.

What to say

Can you send me the exact plan rule you used to deny this?

Ask before the AI writes anything. A letter that answers the real rule is much stronger.

Made-up facts. AI can invent a policy rule, a study or a date that looks real, and one wrong fact can sink an appeal. Also, don't give a free tool more than it needs: black out your Social Security number first.

Better done together

We’re here to help

The AI gets you a draft. We help you choose what goes in, check it before it goes out, and tell you what to say when they call back.

Every situation is different, and these are sensitive moments, so we look at yours with care. We often see what others miss, and we never take commissions from insurance companies: the only thing we are working for is what is right for you.

The rule behind it

For most health plans, the Affordable Care Act gives you the right to an internal appeal. If that fails, you can ask for an independent external review (45 CFR 147.136). Medicare has its own steps.
